2021 Nissan Maxima Full Overview: Features and Performance
The Nissan Maxima is back in the 2021 model, but this time with significant revision and changes to the trim level lineup. The 2021 Nissan Maxima marked the 8th generation in 40 years and is the most famous and popular Nissan car on the market. Setting the standard for the premium sedans it offers, the 2021 Nissan Maxima has not yet braked. This next model year will feature more sophisticated quality and standard technology features.
The Nissan Maxima will be available in 2021 and will ship with some changes. For starters, you can't choose between S and SL variations. That's why the 2021 Nissan Maxima trim levels lineup comprises SV, SR, and Platinum trims.
We have compiled a list of updates and changes made to the 2021 Nissan Maxima AWD and FWD.
Engine and Performance
Consider the 2021 Maxima as a more sporty luxury sedan than the regular Toyota Camry or Honda Accord. The 3.5-liter V6 propels the 2021 Maxima with 300 hp and 261 lb-ft of torque connected to an Xtronic CVT. The Maxima's CVT is the best; its performance aspirations are paddle shifters mounted under the steering wheel that turns off the simulated gearshift.
You can adjust the throttle response, steering, and
transmission tuning for an everyday experience in the Sport mode. The force
goes entirely to the front wheels smoothly and quietly. The Sport Mode is, of
course, aimed at providing a sportier feel. This is achieved by adjusting the
throttle response, steering feel, and transmission programming.
Interior
Maxima offers room for five people in a well-designed cockpit filled with soft materials, simple controls, and a host of premium features. The Nissan Maxima looks great with two-tone stitching on all seats and the diamond-stitched armrest. Best-in-class heated and cooled seats with a 10-way power adjustment setting are available. The seats are comfortable in most driver positions and provide stable support at high speeds, thanks to the GTR-inspired design.
The rear seats are treated the same as the front seats for design themes and material choices, with approximately 34.2 inches of foot space. Power-adjustable driver and passenger seats, leather steering wheel and gear knobs, two-zone automatic weather control, auto-dimming rear-view mirrors, and push-button start are entirely standard equipment.
Exterior
Nissan incorporates many details into Maxima's exterior design. Jewel-style LED headlamps, grille with V-shaped elements, engraved sides, bold character lines, and a floating rear pillar that's gaining popularity with the Nissan Murano-Lexus RX crossover with an integrated quad exhaust tip.
The SV is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels. SR and platinum finishes are mounted on 19-inch alloy wheels. The additional packages include 19-inch alloy wheels with a glossy black finish, black tailpipes and various details, and a black roof ruby slate gray pearl paint. With all these features, the 2021 Nissan Maxima price starts at just $34,352.
Infotainment
The new Nissan Maxima 2021 has a nice 8-inch touchscreen that comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also integrates navigation and SiriusXM. Camera settings displayed on the infotainment screen include a 360-degree camera with a top-down view, moving object detection, automatic braking, and audiophiles that can listen to music through the Bose 8 speaker system is pleasant and precise.
